In the pub which hit stands last week, Johnny (getting dressed to hang with a helpful and steady soundtrack of Paula Abdul hits from the ’80s) explains his desire to transition from ice skating to music and fashion, even as he challenges society’s gender expectations. “There’s a whole new generation of people who aren’t defined by their sex or race or who they like to sleep with,” he tells writer Amy Larocca.

You guys are truly (truly, truly!) outrageous. We asked you to submit the most exaggerated piece in your closet and almost instantly we were treated to a panoply of over-the-top flamboyance. The painfully haute, the idiosyncratic, and the almost ridiculous (in a good way!) are all represented as uploaded pics include a leopard-print salmon maxi, for instance, peep-toe motorcycle boots with Crayola-colored strap accents and heel cut-outs, and a macrame poncho of many colors. Truly, Contest Judge Johnny Weir has his work cut out for him. Can’t wait to see which entrant he picks to give a personal virtual styling session.
