When Bluefly’s Closet Confessions crew arrived at Melissa’s Pacific Palisades mansion, which Joan has moved into, the indefatigable duo were filming their upcoming reality show for WE. They welcomed us to join the camera party and once we started rolling, it was WE shooting us shooting them-Melissa and Joan working it for us all with the utmost professionalism. The comedienne had us weeping with laughter as she took us through her upscale collection of designer-studded collectibles. Divided between her daughter’s supply closet, home gym, and guest bedroom, every single solitary item was labeled to commemorate where she wore it, with Ziploc-ed accessories dangling from each hanger. Meanwhile, as her mother donned a caftan flecked with every color of the rainbow, the younger Rivers kept it classic in black, ever the straight-woman. Speaking of, the pair have the most respectful mother-daughter dynamic we’ve ever seen. After hours of shooting for two crews, there was no eye-rolling, no smart-lipping, no nothing but love between the women. It was a beautiful thing to see in person, and a little ironic considering the women are known for their brutally frank commentary. Even more ironic was the Manhattanite’s elegant and glitzy wardrobe, in sharp contrast with the LA fashion culture of Juicy Couture tracksuits and Ugg boots. But just as she says in this latest confession, fashion is about fun. "If you take yourself too seriously you’re an idiot"

Melissa, I am trying to find out the designer of (and where you purchased) the equestrian dress worn on "Fashion Police", July 29th. It was STUNNING, and I really want to buy it. I am an equestrian too and hope that you can send me the information. Is it Gucci? I am hoping it is current, otherwise, I cannot buy it. Please get back to me as this means a lot.
